Paulo Cortez received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Minho, Portugal, in 2002. He is a Lecturer at the Department of Information Systems, University of Minho, being co-author of more than forty publications in international conferences and journals (e.g., IEEE Computer Society, Elsevier or Springer-Verlag). He is a researcher at the Algoritmi Center and his current research interests include: Business Intelligence and Decision Support Systems; Data Mining and Machine Learning; Artificial Neural Networks and Evolutionary Computation; Forecasting.
