ACSD 2003 - Douro Valley/River Cruise
On the 21st June, Saturday, a upstream cruise through the river Douro is planned. The river was used in the past to transport the Port Wine from the Douro region to Oporto (from which the wine took its name). The Douro region was recently nominated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The boat trip starts in Oporto at 9:00 and ends in Régua at 16:00. The return trip will be made by train (or alternatively by bus). The price per person is 100.00 EUR and includes the lunch on the boat and the bus transportation from and to the Hotel Falperra, in Braga. This tour only takes place with a minimum of 30 persons.

Please Note: The cruise may have to be cancelled if river conditions are not suitable for navigation or unforseen circumstances beyond the operator's control or if reservations do not reach the minimum participants (30) required. The itinerary can be changed without prior notice.
